A Landmark with a Story
Inhlosane, meaning “the maiden’s breast,” rises above the Dargle and is one of the most recognisable natural features in the Midlands.
At just under 2,000 metres above sea level, it plays a role in local weather patterns and water flow. Rainfall in these upland areas feeds the streams and rivers below.
The mountain also carries historical significance — from early settlement routes to local stories passed down through generations — making it both a natural and cultural landmark.
